The Hunters Den .22 Rimfire Only Pistol League is geared for both the beginner and the experienced shooter.

This league allows beginners to learn and practice their shooting skills and the experienced shooter a chance for great competition.

The League shoots on Tuesday nights and Friday mornings of each week, for 8 consecutive weeks.

The first week will be Tuesday, June 8th and Friday, June 11th

The last week will be Tuesday, July 27th and Friday, July 30th

Make up week will be Tuesday, August 3rd and Friday August 6th

Time Slots:

  • Morning – approx 10 am Friday mornings
  • Evening – approx 6 pm Tuesday nights

Specify which time slot you would like to shoot when you sign up.
If you do not specify a time slot we can not guarantee you will be able to shoot.

COST OF SHOOT

League Fee - $30.00 (one time cost) – To be paid at the time of sign up
Cost of each shoot will be $15.00 + tax ($16.11) per person which covers the range time. 
Prepaid
will be $100.00 + tax for all 8 weeks ($107.38 which will be $13.42 per week.)
No range tokens can be used
The 5 targets are included in the price.
The shoot will last about 1 hour.

2009 Pistol Leauge WinnersPRIZES

There will be trophies presented for 1st , 2nd, and 3rd place winners at the end of the session (8 weeks) + (1) make-up week ( if needed).

Each week there will be a drawing for a door prize. You must have shot that night to be eligible for the door prize. Your door prize must be claimed the next week and will not be held over. The drawing will be held at the end of the night after the last shooting time has ended.

THE SHOOT

  • Playing Cards will be drawn to determine which lane you will shoot in.
  • Course of fire consists of 90 shots.
  • Shooting distance will be 50 ft for all targets.
  • League shooting maybe one or two handed.
  • Hearing and Eye Protection is required.
  • Hunters Den does have eye & ear protection for sale (or rent) and ammo for sale.

COURSE OF FIRE

  • 10 Shooters will shoot together
  • A Range Officer calls the commands for each portion of the matches.
  • After shooting each target, targets are handed to the shooter on the right for scoring.
  • Scores and averages are updated weekly and posted on the League Score Board.
  • Open to men & women age 18 and over.

Target # 1 - Slow Fire Match

  • 20 - Shots in 10 minutes
  • TARGET --- B-16

Target # 2 - Slow Fire Match

  • 10 Shots in 5 minutes
  • TARGET --- B-16

Target # 3 - Timed and Rapid Fire

  • Two (5) round strings fired at 20 seconds per string
  • Then two (5) round strings fired at 10 seconds per string
  • Target --- B-8

Target # 4 - Timed Fire Match

  • Four (5) round strings fired at 20 seconds per string
  • Target --- B-8

Target # 5 - Rapid Fire Match

  • Four (5) round strings fired at 10 seconds per string
  • Target --- B-8

SCORING

Bulls-eye & 10 Ring --- 10 points

9 Ring--- 9 points

8 Ring--- 8 points

7 Ring--- 7 points

6 Ring--- 6 points

5 Ring--- 5 points

  • Shots touching a scoring ring receive the higher value.
  • Shots outside of scoring ring are recorded as misses.
  • Bulls-eye hits will be used as a tie breaker.

Jams and Miss Fire—

If you have a jam or miss fire please put the gun down, and back out of the stall. That way the Range Officer knows you have a problem and can address it after the other shooters are done.

ON TIME RULE OR MISSED NIGHT

ON TIME RULE – If you are not on time for the first target shoot, must wait for 2nd target to start.  No score will be used on the first target.

To make-up a missed night, there will be a make up week for shooters that missed a week

 

RULES

  • All range rules apply and we reserve the right to enforce them.
  • .22 Rimfire Ammunition Only (includes LR and short)
  • Iron sights, red dot with no magnification or fiber optic sights only
  • No scopes, or any other types of optics, No lasers

We are not members of any National organization, therefore the rules, course of fire and targets are chosen by The Hunters Den staff.  All shooters can come have fun and be competitive at our range.
